A woman made a request to lower/session courts in 2018 to report and register an FIR against BJP lawmaker Shahnawaz Hussain. She claimed, “The BJP politician sexually assaulted me in a farmhouse in Chhatarpur and threatened to murder me.”
What Court Said
The Court has ordered the police to complete the probe within 3 months. Though, as per the facts given by the court, it is very clear that the police is unwilling to file a complaint against the politician.
The court said, “The reports submitted by the police in lower courts are not the final reports”.
Previously the lower courts condemn the argument given by the police. Court said, “The complaint of the woman does not consist of any severe crime”.
Police Unwilling to File Complaint
The police said, “There can no charges be put on Hussain of sexual harassment or rape, but the woman filed appealed to the lower courts to file a complaint and lodge an FIR against BJP politician Shah Nawaz Hussain.
Though, the woman appealed to file a complaint against the BJP politician for raping her in a farmhouse in Chhatarpur and threatening to kill her.
Shahnawaz Hussain’s Take on the Matter
On the other hand, the BJP politician Shahnawaz Hussain has knocked the door of the Supreme Court against the order of filing a rape case against him.
Though, the Supreme Court has denied conducting the hearing immediately. The court said, “We will conduct the hearing next week”.
From Hussain’s side, his lawyer Manish Paul requested the Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana to conduct the hearing immediately.
The reason for the hurry was given that if the FIR got filed this appeal will be ineffective. But the CJI said the hearing will be conducted next week.
