Ahead of his Young Monkey reunion show, Drake tests positive for COVID-19 and postpones October world weekend performance with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
Drake’s Fans have to wait a little longer for the rapper’s World Weekend Performance. On Monday, American Rapper Drake confirmed that his schedule for October World Weekend has been postponed to a later date due to him testing positive for COVID-19.
The iconic rapper updated on Instagram for his fans about the situation as he posted a note addressing the performance delay in his Instagram stories.
On his Instagram story, God’s Plan singer wrote, “I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid and the Young Money Reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible.” He added, “I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked.
Until then, I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the Covid)”. The One Dance rapper ended with his message for his fans with a sad face emoji.
Fans were really excited to see the rapper as he was set to be joined by Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne at the show which was to be held at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage.
This concert was part of the October World Weekend which had previously seen headlining acts All Canadian North Stars, Chris Brown, and Lil Baby performing a few weeks ago.
