The recruitment process will be conducted by DRDO in the upcoming month of February.
Vehicles Research and Development Establishment, DRDO is all set to recruit for the JRF post. Applications have been invited by DRDO from the candidates. All those candidates who want to apply for Junior Research Fellow will have to appear for the interview session. the interviews will be conducted on the 6th, 8th and 10th of February.
The recruitment process is for 18 posts in the organisation. There are certain eligibility criteria, selection processes and other formalities which need to be fulfilled to apply for the post.
The Eligibility Criteria
All those candidates who want to apply for the above-mentioned post must be 18 years of age as of the date of the interview. The candidates must be from the field of Engineering and must have a graduate professional course degree in BE/B.Tech in first division with a valid score of NET or GATE or they must have Post Graduate degree in M.E./M.Tech/M.S. with first division only.
Selection Process
There will two stages in the selection process. The process will comprise an interview round and a written test. The first stage will be of interview round which will be conducted at VRDE, PO: Vahannagar, Ahmednagar: 414006 (Maharashtra). While after this the written test of the candidates will only be conducted after the verification of certificates/testimonials. The initial screening and verification of testimonials would be done between 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the given dates (February 6, 8 and 10).
The JRF
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is a letter awarded by the University Grants Commission(UGC) to those candidates who have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) by securing marks equal to or higher than the already set cut-off for JRF. The marks depend on the subject in which the candidate has given the UGC NET Exam.
There are two cut-offs declared by UGC if any candidate takes the UGC NET JRF Exam in a particular subject. The first exam is for clearing the NET and the second exam is for JRF. The marks scored by any candidate are valid for only three years only. Other than this, the score of NET is valid for the lifetime of the candidate.

This organisation develops defence technologies, systems or products that are required for Indian Armed Forces. It develops defence technologies in the project mode.
