Despite being confined to a wheelchair due to a leg injury, Shilpa Shetty continues to practice yoga asanas and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The actor has been posting videos of herself demonstrating yoga poses that require only the upper body for a while now. In a recent example of this, Shilpa said that if one is interested in solving a problem, one must alter their attitude toward it while sitting in a chair and sporting a red t-shirt.
She questioned, “What do you believe is the solution to this problem?” while pointing at her legs. … and immediately exclaimed, “Yoga!”
Then the 47-year-old started stretching her body and performed two distinct asanas: Gomukhasana, also known as the Cow Face Pose, and Tiryaka Tadasana, popularly known as the Swaying Palm Tree Pose.
“Why should a mishap prevent me from appreciating my routine? So I made the decision not to grant it that authority,” Shilpa wrote.
She continued by describing how Tiryaka Tadasana (Swaying Palm Tree Pose), a “really simple and easy position,” “stimulates bowel motions, provides a great stretch sideways, and delivers a good stretch to the oblique muscles enhancing the flexibility of the spine.”
The cow face pose, or gomukhasana, can “enhance body posture” and “stretch the shoulders and triceps,” according to the actor. “ Additionally, it aids in expanding the lungs and chest. It is advantageous. Avoid Tiryaka Tadasana if you have a frozen shoulder, she advised, and avoid it if you have neck problems.
