Fans are pleased with the future ahead for Yumi
Based on Lee Dong’s famous Gun’s webtoon of the same name, the first season follows the lives of ordinary office worker Kim Yumi, played by Kim Go Eun, through the eyes of her brain cells, which dictate her thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Yumi’s “Love Cells” go into a coma after a failed relationship, and her brain cells try to awaken her unconscious cells through a relationship with Ahn Bo Hyun’s character, the straightforward game developer Goo Wong.
It was all in the first season but in the second season after breaking up with Hyun, Yumi developed her feelings for her co-worker Yoo Ba Bi.
Many fans wanted Yumi and Babi to be in season 2’s final couple. But by the end of the K-drama, Yumi’s heart has other plans. Fans were taken back when Babi and Yumi reunited after their break-up, only for Babi to propose. After saying Goodbye to Babi, she moves on in her life
Yumi runs into Babi at the airport after a flashback to their breakup. Babi asks if Yumi is seeing anyone as they say their final goodbye. She responds “No” and inquires about Babi’s girlfriend. Before boarding his plane, he responds “Yes”. Fans later discover Babi lied after seeing him with a friend. He is still single, but he lies to Yumi for her to feel at ease and move on.
Yumi later returns to her single self and notices other men who pique her interest. However, she remains focused on her career. She’s stuck in a rut with her writing until Ruby calls to invite her to a holiday party. Ruby assists Yumi in finding inspiration for her book and finishing it. She is overjoyed that her hard work has been completed.
Her cells hold an end-of-the-year award show, and Babi is recognized for her writing career. After all, despite the break-up, he always believes in her and encourages her to pursue her writing career. Later, fans see Yumi go to Woong’s office to return the laptop he had given her.
While Woong is delighted to see her, she declines his dinner plans because she has her own. Fans notice that she no longer has feelings for Woong, even though he does.
