10,000 farmers from Punjab started a protest against the center to seek justice in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. The farmers demand compensation for families of farmers, who died in the field and to have a legal guarantee to the crops produced by the family of the diseased.
Additionally, the protesters demanded the sacking of the union minister of the state, Ajay Mishra who was recently involved In the cases of the death of farmers because of his son.
Four farmers were killed by the minister’s son last October. The protest was continued by the surveillance of the police. Farmers are awaiting the response of the central government. This has captured attention throughout the country
