‘Fascist’ Government Blocks Imran Khan’s Speech Under Terror Act, Pakistan’s Ousted PM Hits Back
Fascist Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, has been charged under the Anti-Terrorism Act for
threatening the police, courts, and other state institutions during a rally in Islamabad on Saturday.
After Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated on Sunday that the government was considering filing a
complaint against 69-year-old Khan for his controversial remark made on Saturday night in the national
capital’s F-9 Park, the case was made public a short time later.Fascist
The case was reported under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act at the Margalla Police Station in Islamabad
at 10 p.m. on Saturday, according to a copy of the first information report (FIR) (punishment for acts of terrorism).
The FIR against Imran Khan claims that he threatened the police and female judge
According to the FIR, Khan “terrorized and threatened top police officials and a respected female additional
sessions judge” in his speech to prevent them from carrying out their duties and refrain from taking action
against anyone associated with his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party, according to news agency PTI.
The FIR claims that Khan’s remarks caused the nation and the police to become fearful and uncertain.
In his speech, Khan made threats to bring lawsuits against senior police officers, a female magistrate, the
Pakistan Election Commission, and political rivals over the treatment of his aide Shahbaz Gill, who was
detained last week on sedition-related charges.
Khan had also expressed displeasure with Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry for
approving Gill’s two-day physical remand at the capitol police’s request and advised Gill to get ready for action.
Sanaullah, the interior minister, stated earlier during a press conference that the government was seeking
legal advice before filing any charges against Khan. He claimed that Khan’s speech carried on a recent pattern of attacking the military and other institutions.
The minister stated that this is all continuing from a campaign after the Lasbela incident, in which six army
officers were killed, to Gill’s attempt to incite army ranks to defy their top command, and finally to Imran’s
threat against a female judge and police officers for carrying out their duties in accordance with the law.
Following Khan’s controversial statement on Saturday night, Pakistan’s electronic media watchdog prohibited
satellite television channels from airing live talks of Khan.
Warnings from Pakistan’s broadcast regulator
In a statement released on Saturday, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) stated that
TV broadcasters had ignored many warnings to establish a time-delay mechanism to halt the airing of content critical of government institutions.
It stated, “It has been noted that Mr. Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, is continuously accusing state institutions in his speeches/statements by leveling baseless allegations and spreading hate speech through his provocative statements against state institutions and officers, which is detrimental to the maintenance of law and order and is likely to disturb public peace and tranquility.
The statement claims that after analyzing the speech’s substance, it was discovered that the licensees had broadcast it live without a reliable time-delay device. In light of the aforementioned context and factors, the competent authority, i.e. Chairman PEMRA, today forbids the transmission of Khan’s live speech on all satellite TV channels with immediate effect, it continued.
However, PEMRA stated that in order to assure monitoring and editorial control, Khan’s taped address would only be allowed to be aired after an efficient delay mechanism.
‘Fascists in power’: Khan’s party counterattack
The PTI chairman’s party responded angrily to the ban by claiming that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s administration is fascist. Fascists from abroad are attempting to stop Imran Khan from making TV remarks. With fascism as a strategy, they have utterly lost the war and will fail. By speaking out against Nazis, we can #HelpPakistan, Khan’s party tweeted.
Khan also claimed that the government momentarily shut down YouTube so that no one could watch his address.

The PTI planned the march on Saturday to show support for Gill and to oppose what Khan called the “blatant fascism” that was practiced by Sharif’s “imported tyranny.”
In a covert allusion to the coalition government, Khan called the mighty Army “neutrals” during the event and urged his supporters to stand with the country rather than the “gang of thieves.”
He also criticized the judiciary, calling it “unfair.”
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan People’s Party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl, and Mutahida Quami Movement Pakistan asked the judiciary to take legal action against Khan and his aides for threatening a female judge and intimidating police officers, despite the fact that the army has not responded to his jab.
The cricketer-turned-politician has asserted several times that a “foreign conspiracy” was behind the no-trust motion that led to his removal from office in April.
Additionally, Khan has made it clear that his party will not cooperate with or recognise the “imported administration” led by Prime Minister Sharif.
In the meantime, on Sunday night, a defiant Khan spoke to a crowd at Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh grounds. “Pemra has now joined the game. How did Imran Khan act? In response to the Pemra banning of his live talks, Khan stated that the only offense committed by the man was his refusal to accept this foreign regime.
He also discussed the nation’s worsening economic conditions and inflation, claiming that the army head had to travel to nations like Saudi Arabia to obtain loans.
“Holding fair and free elections is the only way to move the country out of the current crisis,” he stated.
