sawan, Veteran director Sawan Kumar Tak, who created hits like Souten, passed away with heart attack on Thursday in this city after experiencing severe health concerns, according to his family. Tak, an accomplished music director and 86 years old, is survived by his wife Usha Khanna, as well as other family members.
After fighting lung and chest problems for a few days, Sawan Kumar Tak passed away from a heart attack at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, according to his nephew Navin.
According to his nephew, Saawan Kumar Tak, a filmmaker best known for the movies Sanam Bewafa and Souten, passed away on Thursday in a hospital in Mumbai. On Wednesday, the director was declared to be in “critical” condition and admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
He was receiving treatment for breathing problems and a lung infection.
He was 86.According to a report from PTI, he passed away on Thursday at 4:15 pm. He died at 4:15 p.m. from heart failure. His heart had ceased beating, according to the filmmaker’s nephew Navin, who spoke to PTI.

Saawan Kumar Tak’s career as a producer got its start with the 1967 movie Naunihal. Sanjeev Kumar, the movie’s star, received his screen name thanks to him.
With the final movie starring Meena Kumari, Gomti Ke Kinare, he made his directorial debut in 1972. Souten, a 1983 release starring Rajesh Khanna, Tina Munim, and Padmini Kolhapure, is his most enduring film.
He directed a series of movies starring Salman Khan at the turn of the century, including Sanam Bewafa (1991), Chaand Ka Tukda (1994), and Saawan: The Love Season (2003). Salman paid respect to the director on Twitter after his passing.

Saawan Kumar was a prolific writer who frequently penned the words for the majority of the songs included in his films. He also produced lyrics for other films. Zindagi Pyaar Ka Geet Hai from his film Souten, Pyaar Ki Kashti Mein, Janeman Janeman, and Chand Sitaare for Rakesh Roshan’s 2000 success, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, which marked the debut of Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel, were some of his most prominent and well-known songs.

on of his debut movie, Naunihal.
“In 1965, I moved from Jaipur to Mumbai with the goal of becoming an actor.
I gave two or three studios a shot.
When I wasn’t given a break, I made the decision to work my way down.
I asked my sister for a loan of Rs 25,000 so I could make a movie. I had a story in mind about an orphan whose principal informs him that Pandit Nehru is a relative. My brother-in-law agreed, but my sisters baulked.
Therefore, I created Naunihal,” he had stated.

funeral procession of India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, was written by Sawan Kumar Tak as his debut screenplay in 1967.
Tak produced more than 20 movies over his 55-year Bollywood career, including the musical hit “Souten” (1983) starring Rajesh Khanna, Tina Munim (Ambani), and Padmini Kolhapure.
Other notable movies from his production company include “Gomti Ke Kinare” (1972), his first film as a direct
or and Meena Kumari’s final picture, which also starred Mumtaz and Sameer Khan but was not well received
at the box office.
Not to be discouraged, Sawan Kumar Tak went on to produce musicals such as “Hawas” (1974), “Saajan Bina
Suhagana” (1978), “Saajan Ki Saheli” (1981), “Sanam Bewafaa” (1991), “Khalnaaika” (1993), and “Chaan Ka Tukda” (1994), among others. These musicals starred Salman Khan, Sridevi, and Chandni.Throughout his
lengthy Bollywood career, the Jaipurborn film star also wrote screenplays, lyrics, and produced a number of movies.
