Kerala Congress president K Sudhakaran tweeted on Tuesday that Congress veteran Oommen Chandy had passed away.
He tweeted, that he is deeply sadened by the news of demise of Mr. Oomen Chandy. He refers to him as a legend, lord who adored people, who had an impact on many people’s lives and states that his influence will be felt.

Oomen Chandy’s demise
Chandy who filled in as boss clergyman of Kerala two times kicked the bucket in Bengaluru in the early long stretches of Tuesday, his family declared. The demise of the previous Kerala boss pastor was declared by his child, Chandy Oommen, in a Facebook post.
Oommen wrote, “Appa has passed away,” without providing additional details on his Facebook page.
Congress sources said Chandy passed on at a confidential medical clinic at 4.25 am while going through therapy for disease.
Chandy, who had not been saving great for a long while, had been remaining in Bengaluru for treatment at a wellbeing office.
According to Congress Kerala, Chandy was adored by all generations and segments of the populace.

About Oomen Chandy
Oommen Chandy was the chief minister of Kerala twice, from 2004 to 2006 and from 2011 to 2016.
The veteran Congress pioneer started his stretch as a lawmaker by winning in the 1970 state get together races at 27 years old. He went on to win 11 polls in a row after that.
In the past five decades, Chandy has only represented his home constituency, Puthuppally.
