Free electricity won’t stop
Gujarat is very much liking the free electricity guarantee, so BJP wants to stop free electricity in Delhi. Appeal to the people of Delhi to have faith, I will not allow your free electricity to stop under any circumstances. – Arvind Kejriwal (CM)
Orders have been ordered to investigate the electricity subsidy being received by the residents of Delhi for not being sent directly to the bank account. Orders have been ordered to investigate the electricity subsidy being received by the residents of Delhi for not being sent directly to the bank account.
Regarding this, the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat has ordered an inquiry to the Chief Secretary, within 7 days, the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat has been asked to submit the investigation report.
According to sources, the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat has received a complaint alleging irregularities in the electricity subsidy being received in Delhi. It has been said in the complaint that the Deputy Chairman of Delhi Dialogue Commission and spokesperson of the Aam Aadmi Party was Jasmin and a scam has been done by Naveen Gupta, son of MP ND Gupta.
Kejriwal’s government has appointed its directors in private companies BASES Rajdhani Power Limited and BASES Yamuna Power Limited Whereas his stake in these is given 40 percent. This complaint has been made by some advocates and law experts. They have made allegations of corruption in this.
It has been told in the complaint that earlier the government used to appoint senior government officials as directors in these companies. With this, the representatives of the government lived there and used to talk keeping in mind the interests of the Delhi government. But the Kejriwal government made the spokesperson of the party and the son of its MP the director instead of the officers.
This was done so that he could scam together with the electricity company and no opportunity of the government could interfere in this.
Objection points to the Delhi government’s free electricity scheme
-In Delhi, the AAP government is not recovering Rs. 21,250 crores due for payment of electricity purchased by discoms, this amount is ₹ 11550.
-Tata-owned by Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd, the third private discoms in the capital, has regularly paid dues of power purchased from the government and has not paid any dues against it.
-Wrongly allowing the discoms to charge late payment sir charge at the rate of 18% from the people while the Delhi government-owned power generation companies are being paid at the rate of 12%
-The Delhi government violated the 2015-16 cabinet decision to order BRPL and BYPL every year for the bidi subsidy paid to them by the government.
No account of payment made to the company: Congress
The ruling Aam Aadmi Party here has termed the LG’s orders as unconstitutional, while the BJP has accused the government of financial irregularities.
Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Ajay Makaan have welcomed the order of the Lieutenant Governor to investigate the electricity subsidy case.
Makaan said that more than 8500 crores have been paid by the Delhi government as electricity subsidy to the discoms company but it is not accounted for. On Tuesday, Ajay Makaan supported the decision of the Lieutenant Governor by tweeting, he said that there is a power subsidy scam in Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal had come to the promise of audit power companies, but now without auditing the customers, 18000 crores were given to private power companies. He has been asking questions related to subsidy by applying RTI for the last 3 years but is not getting a satisfactory answer. An RTI filed in August 2019 has not been answered to date.
Addressing a joint press conference with Delhi State BJP President Adesh Gupta and BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Tuesday, Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the Delhi government had given permission to private companies to collect 18 percent in the name of late fees. But the companies received only 12 percent from the Delhi government and paid 6 fees i.e. where did about 8000 crore rupees go? no one got the information! why did the government do this and what was the reason behind it?
