April is going to be a content filled month for Exo’s fans. From getting little to no update to getting swamped with content, stanning the group has always been an adventurous ride. After barely getting any update/content of the group or its members over the past few months, the drought has now come to an end.
With the number of activities scheduled for the group this month, Exo-ls are surely winning. Let’s have a look at Exo’s upcoming group as well as solo activities for the month in order.
Starting with 4th April, Exo’s Leader Suho would be releasing his second solo album, titled “Grey Suit” on April 4, 2022, at 6 PM (KST). The first set of teaser images was released on the 24th at midnight.
The three photos sequence shows the artist sitting in his room which gradually gets filled with yellow flowers (tulips and daffodils). The fans were overwhelmed by the hidden message behind the meaning of the flowers.
The album would be Suho’s first comeback since his military discharge and would contain two music videos, tilted “Grey Suit” and “Hurdle”. On the 8th of April is the group’s 10th debut Anniversary. The group made their debut on 8th April 2012 under SM entertainment.
An offline fan event is being organized to celebrate the occasion with fans on Saturday, April 9 in Jamsil Gymnasium at 7 PM (KST). It will also be broadcasted live on the platform Beyond Live. However, no VOD or re-stream would be available for the meeting.
The event is confirmed to be attended by 5 of the 6 active members, Suho, Xiumin, D.O, Kai and Sehun. April 12th would be Exo’s make, Oh Sehun’s, 28th birthday. Many fan sites across the globe have raised funds for the star’s birthday project to celebrate the day and show their love and support.
SM also announced on 24th March, that the actor would be starring in the main role of a TVing original high school romance drama titled, “Love, do it”. Sehun would be playing the role of an 18-year-old sophomore in high school. The filming for the said drama would start in April.
On April 17, Kyoongtube would be giving another monthly update. Kyoongtube is the name of Exo member Baekhyun’s YouTube channel. As a way to say connected to his fans, the artist had put in a lot of effort and shot videos before enlisting in the military to complete his mandatory service.
Those videos are now released by his team on the 17th of every month. Though the release of those videos was put on hold for some months in between, they are now back on without a hitch. April 25, 2022, would mark the return of the fourth member from the military.
Chen a.k.a Kim Jongdae who had enlisted on October 26, 2022, would be discharged in the last week of April 2022, having completed his services. Fans are hoping for the King of Ost to be a part of the group’s upcoming (rumoured) comeback.
April 27, another video update from NNG studio is expected on behalf of Chanyeol. NNG is Exo’s rapper, Chanyeol’s Youtube channel. Like Baekhyun, Chanyeol also filmed videos, at times featuring other members, before his mandatory enlistment.
The videos are released by his NNG studio’s team on the 27th of every month, 27 signifying the artist’s birth date.
Through the efforts the Chan-Baek duo has put in to film the video before their enlistment to entertain the fans and stay connected with these unique ideas, despite their busy schedules before their enlistment date, sure proves that the boys, EXO, love their fans as much as the fans love them.
The third instalment of Exo’s reality show “Travel around the world on Exo’s Ladder” will also be released sometime in April, however, the date of release hasn’t been announced yet.
Throughout April Chanyeol would be performing in his military musical, ‘Blue Helmet: A Song of Messia’. Chanyeol plays the role of Raman who was exposed to the Korean culture through a UN peacekeeping force, the Gaon Unit, dispatched to Kamur.
Raman later participated in a K-pop audition.
Exo’s member’s interview is featured in GQ magazine’s April issue. When asked if they have prepared a gift for the fans who have supported/loved them for 10 years, the group’s maknae Sehun said “Our hearts are the same, so I also want to give them a present.
Oops! Hahaha! But anyway, I have a lot to be thankful for so it’s a bit hard… probably through music, a good album, and a lot of stages. By giving them good energy, isn’t it the best gift we can give them? To achieve that, we’ll work hard.”
With the bond shared between EXO and EXO-L, the group is sure worth the wait for the fans.
