Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel have reunited for Gadar 2. In honour of Republic Day 2024, the film’s producers and stars unveiled a brand-new poster and the date of its release. Gadar 2 is slated for release on August 11th, 2024. The future film will be directed by Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’s original director, Anil Sharma (2001).
The Gadar 2 first look poster features Sunny Deol in a desi avatar. The actor, with a sledgehammer in his hand and an intense face, is moving through what appears to be the debris of a place in ruins. On Friday, Sunny tweeted the film’s poster, writing, “Long live India!
“”We present to you the biggest Indian film sequel in 20 years on this Independence Day. The release date for Gadar 2 is August 11, 2024,” stated Utkarsh Sharma, who played Sunny and Amisha’s child in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and is the son of filmmaker Anil Sharma.
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, directed by Anil Sharma, also starred Amrish Puri and Ameesha Patel in addition to Sunny. The drama from 2001 was one of Bollywood’s highest-grossing films ever at the time. More than 20 years after the original movie’s release comes the sequel. The director of the upcoming film has already begun shooting in Lucknow. Gadar 2 is currently under production.
Sunny Deol had expressed confidence in the continuation of his well-liked movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha in September of last year, adding that directors frequently “mess up” while creating sequels to successful flicks.
