TELANGANA: In Hyderabad, a teenage girl was allegedly gang-raped in a Mercedes car by minors. According to police sources, an MLA’s son was allegedly involved in the event, and all five accused in the case are minors.
The case was reported to the Jubilee Hills police station on Wednesday, June 1, and authorities initiated an inquiry to verify the facts.
On Saturday, the incident occurred. The three suspects engaged in the incident were initially charged under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The 17-year-old girl was taken to the hospital for a medical examination, and the case has now been amended to include section 376 (gang rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
An AIMIM MLA’s son and the chairman of a minority board were present at the party, according to a senior police official, and had accompanied the girl. Only one accused, who is also a minor, was identified and named by the victim.
The girl was asked to join the accused in a Mercedes car, according to the victim’s father. According to the victim’s father, the accused misbehaved with his daughter and even injured her neck, according to the FIR.
The BJP In Telangana Requests Immediate Arrest
The incident has been fiercely condemned by the BJP. “One of the five offenders of this crime is the son of a All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA, while another is the son of a minority chairperson,” the Telangana BJP said.
Despite the victim’s parents filing a criminal complaint, Hyderabad Police have yet to make an arrest. In this case, the BJP has accused the police of taking a long time to investigate.
“We’re considering if the cops are waiting for MIM chairman Asaduddin or CM KCR’s approval before making arrests in this matter!” A series of heinous crimes, including daylight hackings, interfaith and intercommunity killings, and rapes, have tarnished Telangana’s image. “In Telangana, fear of the law appears to be at an all-time low,” said Krishna Sagar Rao, the Telangana BJP’s chief spokesperson.
