Gisele Bundchen
Gisele Caroline Bundchen is a Brazilian fashion model born on July 20, 1980. She has been one of the highest-paid models in the world since 2001. She served as a Victoria Secret Angel from 1996 to 2006. Her modeling career has always been light and phenomenal.
In her professional career, Gisele has appeared on the front page of more than 1200 magazine covers. She is the pioneer of the infamous ‘horse walk’ that is quite prevalent in the modeling industry. This walk includes lifting your knees high and kicking your step forward. In 2014, she made it to the list of ‘Most Powerful Women in the World’ and ranked 89th.
Gisele aspired to be a volleyball player in her early years, but her mother suggested she try modeling in order to develop more confidence and a better posture. Gisele is now an activist, a model, and a businesswoman; she has even tried her hands at acting as well. She was nominated for the Choice Movie Villain in 2005 for her supporting role in the movie “Taxi.” She also played a supporting role in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.
Gisele possesses a charitable heart.
This isn’t the first time Gisele has been in the limelight for making a large donation like this. As an activist and a social worker, Gisele has been in the spotlight for many such charities and offerings to certain organizations and programmes for the welfare of the underprivileged.
Bundchen was admired a lot when she was seen in public with her face painted black in protest against the lack of attention given to Africa’s HIV and AIDS victims. She has a huge fan following, and now we know why. Her ways of showing support and rebellion might be different, but there are no doubts regarding her intentions.
Her line of sandals, Ipanema Gisele Bundchen’s some percentage of profit is donated by her in order to protect the Amazon Rainforest water resources. She is also a patriot and supports various Brazilian projects as well, such as De Olho nos Mananciais, Nascentes do Brasil, Y Ikatu Xingu, and IVA.
Bundchen also donated $150,000 to another Brazilian project, the “Zero’s Hunger” programme. This programme is an initiative taken by the Brazilian government to end hunger and related issues. The funds are received from individuals and corporations not only from Brazil but from the rest of the world as well.
Miami Women’s Shelter
The Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has made a generous donation to the Lotus House, which is said to be the largest women’s shelter across the country. The Miami-based residential facility serves over 1,550 homeless women and children annually, and Bündchen’s contribution will also further the organization’s mission to prevent homelessness in South Florida.
Gisele Bundchen said that building a community is a hard and time-consuming job; therefore, one should provide all the help that they can, especially to the needy and the vulnerable.
In the donation ceremony, Bundchen was joined by Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava; both were spotted wearing pink helmets and white t-shirts with shovels in hand.
The organization has a special wing for pregnant women, and special maternity care and space are provided for the same. It can only be concluded that Gisele is a generous person overall, as during an interview earlier she declared that her life is devoted to this. She was born to help others.
