Amitabh Bachchan has been the first Bollywood actor to introduce his own NFT line in what appears to be a trend in the Indian film business, and the stint has proven to be a success so far.
Bids have been placed on the star’s NFT collections of ‘Madhushala,’ signed posters, and collectables.
Amitabh Bachchan’s first non-fungible token (NFT) has garnered the most incredible bidding of its kind in the country, indicating a likely, incoming wave of these digital assets in the country.
Earlier this year, Amitabh Bachchan became one of the first prominent Indian celebrities to unveil his series of non-fungible tokens (NFT). Excited fans of the Bollywood star spent $966,000 for digital artefacts from his NFT series (approximately Rs. 7.18 crore).
Bachchan’s series includes a performance of his father’s renowned poem “Madhubala,” autographed old posters of himself and other objects related to his identity, profession, and popularity.
The bidding for this collection began on November 1 and ended on November 4, the day of India’s most significant holiday, Diwali.
“In this digital era, NFTs have opened up a new universe of opportunity for me to go in with my fans even more than before.” The successful auction of my NFTs, some of the most treasured and intimate moments of my life and work, were so wonderfully appreciated and invested in by my fans,” Amitabh Bachchan said in a statement.
Amitabh Bachchan launched his non-fungible token, or NFT, and earned the highest ever bidding in the country for a token of this type. This might be the next big thing as superstars begin to amass these digital assets.
Madhushala non-fungible token is the actor’s father’s poem collection recorded in the superstar’s voice. These sales also include seven autographed posters from his classic films, as well as six of the ‘punks,’ NFT art and poster collection.
Another element of this NFT is a $10 ‘Loot Box,’ in which customers receive ensured artwork from the non-fungible token collection. Their Loot Box is limited to 5,000 pieces, which sold out on Tuesday.
The auction’s “Loot Box,” valued at $10 apiece, is a one-of-a-kind feature. Every purchaser of this box would receive a guaranteed piece of art from the NFT collection.
The Loot box goes online on November 2 at 7 p.m., delivering 5000 items for which over 300,000 crypto collectable aficionados worldwide have signed up.
It is also worth mentioning that Bachchan’s NFT collection would be the first-ever NFT based on Guardian Link’s Anti-RIP NFT technology. This technology would prevent the NFT from being duplicated, safeguarding its owner’s exclusive rights, which is presently an issue in the NFT market.
Although more and more Bollywood celebs are jumping on the NFT non-fungible tokens bandwagon, Big B’s NFT collection was sold for nearly a million dollars, $966,000 to be exact, or around Rs 7.18 crore.
The auction, which began on Monday, November 1, is scheduled to end on Thursday, November 4.
The legendary actor, known for his meticulously numbered tweets, has been tweeting about his NFT collection under his username @SrBachchan on the microblogging site.
What is NFT?
It is a unique digital asset that symbolises real-world things such as music, art, in-game articles, movies, or even social media postings. Because they are non-fungible, NFTs cannot be interchanged with anything else because they are one-of-a-kind and irreplaceable. Since 2014, these digital tokens have existed.
