Staying motivated in a life like this which goes up and down like a swing, can be difficult but not impossible.
Things don’t come our way all the time. Keeping a positive attitude at odd times is important, but doing so is difficult. We murmur words like “can’t, impossible, give up” when things go wrong. Not all can be achieved at the first attempt. At the same time, everything can be achieved with hard work and dedication.
Here are some of the ways to stay motivated–
1) Create a Schedule:
“Procrastination” is our common enemy. From kids to adults, we all have the habit of procrastinating work, which leads to pressure at the last moment. We eventually lose it. Considering our goals and work, it is necessary to create a schedule and work accordingly. We should paste the schedule on the wall opposite to our bed because whenever we look at it, it will boost us and also make us feel guilty whenever we fail to work.
2) Set a Goal:
When we don’t know what to do next, we often feel down. We feel clueless about how to achieve success. All we want is to win, but don’t know the track. To all the questions, the only answer is to set a goal. Setting a goal is important to succeeding. We set goals for our health, careers, studies, and so on. When one wants to prove who he/she is to the world, the first step is to set a goal and stick to it. Setting a goal and working towards it will determine who you are.
3) Listening to favourite songs or podcasts:
When we are down and need to be alone, then listening to our favourite songs or podcasts is the only thing that can motivate us. Music is a powerful tool and is an extreme effective way to stay motivated. Listening to favourite tunes irrespective of the language during tough times indeed motivates us. Listening to motivational podcast is one of the best ways to stay motivated.
4) Doing favourite activities:
For various reasons, like failing in exams, losing in competitions, and so on, we feel down and get de-motivated. Once we fail and feel less motivated, it will take a long time to come back to our normal position. During that healing time, it would be great if we did our favourite activities like swimming, watching movies, reading novels, drawing. It will help and boost us to go further.
5) Spending time with friends and family:
Some people feel happy even when they are actually sad when they are surrounded by their favourites. They consider their favourite ones as their motivational speakers. It is best to share our tough times and happy times with our friends and family members to not feel lonely. Spending some quality time with your favourites and taking their advice will actually help. Friends do sound like motivational speakers all of a sudden when we feel low.
It all starts from ‘you’
Pain is universal. People from all walks of life fail, lose battles, and feel like the world is crashing and falling right in front of them. But the important factor is to not let your inner self believe that you are actually defeated.
Once you believe that you lost the battle without even giving it a second try and feel like everything is turning upside down, then believe that no external energy can force or motivate us. In simple terms, the greatest motivator is the man himself. should try to keep on trying until one succeeds.
One should not lose “hope” at any point of time. That is the greatest invisible energy that keeps us going. We should accept the fact that it is okay to fall down, it is okay to lose, it is okay to cry when things go wrong, it is okay to seek help and advice from peers, it is okay to be abnormal at times.
The statement should be accepted from “it is not okay” to “it is okay.”
