Popular Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi sentenced to two years in jail in the case of Human Trafficking.
Bollywood’s one of the popular singer Daler Mehndi sentenced to jail for two years in the case of human trafficking. The case of human trafficking was first charged in the year 2003 or the first complaint was registered in the year 2003 against Daler Mehndi and his brother Shamsher Singh.
Currently, the Court of Patiala of the state of Punjab proves Daler Mehndi guilty by having sufficient evidence against him.
At that time the complainant named Bakshish Singh filed a case by saying that Daler Mehndi and Shamsher Singh took thirteen lakh rupees as passage money from them by promising that they will take them abroad via troupes . The troupe is mainly for the people who are part of their team or band.
Daler Mehndi and Shamsher Singh took the money from them and they never even sended them nor gave their money back. They send the people by illegal migration. After that there were thirty five other people who also filed the complaint against both the Daler Mehndi and Shamsher Singh for the case of human trafficking.
After that the complainant filed a case of human trafficking against both the brothers Daler Mehndi and Shamsher Singh. Daler Mehndi and Shamsher Singh mainly sent the people to places like the US and Canada.
In the year 2017 the brother of Daler Mehndi named Shamsher Singh who was also included with him in the case of human trafficking was died. In the year 2018 again the same case was sentenced and the singer Daler Mehndi got two years in jail but after that he was released on bail.
As of now, the Court has found sufficient evidence against Daler Mehndi even from his office in Connaught place- based in New Delhi. On the basis of the evidence, the Court sentenced two years in jail . Daler Mehndi proved guilty and sections 420, 406, 465, 468, 120B and 471 of IPC (Indian Penal Code) and Indian Passport Act charged on him.
