It is officially announced that Kim Hyo-Jung aka Hyolyn is releasing a mini-album on 18th July 2022, 6 pm KST.
The summer queen, Hyolyn is finally having an official summer comeback after two years. Following this announcement, fans are ecstatic.
Hyolyn’s agency Brid3 officially announced on June 3 that Hyolyn was planning a July comeback with a brand-new album. Hyolyn’s label added that her comeback will be more than what was seen on Queendom 2.
Till now, Hyolyn had been busy with Queendom 2. Queendom is a reality competition TV show by MNET. Here, famous girl groups/ solo artists compete against each other for a big comeback show. This season WJSN has been crowned the winner. However, every performance by Hyolyn was praised and trended amongst the netizens.
All her performances were big, extravagant, and beautiful. Not to mention her gorgeous vocals and visuals. She was phenomenal. Hyolyn did reach the finale where she performed ‘WAKA BOOM (My Way) ft. Lee Youngji.’ She delivered a completely live and extremely competent performance. This stage was incredible. Youngji’s rap added a zing to the song, and Hyolyn’s vocals were extremely sharp.
Furthermore, ‘Touch My Body’ received a lot of attention, locally and internationally. She takes you on a journey through her lush tropical paradise.
About Hyolyn
‘Touch my Body’ is a song by the famous K-pop girl group, SISTAR of which Hyolyn was a part. SISTAR debuted in 2010 under Starship Entertainment and officially disbanded in 2017.
Hyolyn was the leader of the girl group. She was also part of the SISTAR19 unit with Bora. After the disbandment of SISTAR, Hyolyn left Starship and started her own company ‘Brid3.’
The summer queen released ‘Layin Low’ at the beginning of the year featuring Jooyoung. While in Queendom 2, she released ‘Waka Boom.’ She garnered a lot of fans after dropping ‘Dally’ in 2018. The song still has a huge following.
Hyolyn’s new album will be released on 18th July at 6 pm KST. The mini-album will likely contain six songs, including the song performed on Queendom 2. To beat the summer heat, the summer queen has returned looking like an ice princess.
