Devendra Kumar Sharma, an Indian Air Force Officer has been arrested from Duala Kuan’s Subrato Park by Delhi’s Crime Branch for allegedly divulging sensitive information to an unidentified woman. The suspected woman has contacted Sharma on Facebook.
The woman is said to be related to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The arrest has been made according to the information/documents received by Crime Branch on May 6. Â
Sharma hails from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur and was designated as an administrative assistant at the Air Force Records Office in Subrato Park. Last year in July, another person from Agra, UP was arrested for the same. Â
Police has revealed in a written statement that they received a complaint from IAF officials stating that Devendra Sharma had leaked private and sensitive information related to defense installations, positions of the IAF radars, posting of senior officials and other details to an unknown woman situated in Pakistan.
He has deceitfully collected the information from the office computers. A case under Official Secrets Act has been registered against Sharma. Â
Police officials has mentioned that Devendra has been lured into dirty talks by the woman. Sharma and that woman were frequently in contact. The woman has mostly seen on porn sites. Â
Verifying Sharma’s wife bank accounts, crime branch officials have found out some unusual transactions. Â
All electronic gadgets and essential documents related to the case have been seized by the Crime Branch. Sharma has kept under interrogation and that suspected woman’s details have been taken from him. The police is trying to track the woman. Â
It is said that she was using the number from Indian Service Provider to lure the vulnerable targets like Sharma. She uses to share obscene chats and videos with government employees.
Later on, she used to blackmail the targets to receive sensitive and private information about ministries, defense and other prominent government offices. Â
