From Monday, IAS officer Vineet Joshi, Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, was named as the next head of the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE.
The Ministry of Education’s Department of School Education and Literacy signed the order appointing IAS officer Vineet Joshi to replace IAS officer Manoj Ahuja.
“Since Shri Manoj Ahuja, IAS(OR:1990) has been relieved of the post of Chairman, CBSE with effect from 14.02.2022 (A/N) vide office order dated 14.02.2022, the charge of Chairman, CBSE has been assigned to Shri Vineet Joshi, Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education in addition to his existing assignments.” “This is subject to the approval of the appropriate authorities,” the official order stated.
On May 12, 2020, Manoj Ahuja, who Joshi replaced, was named chairman of the CBSE. Ahuja worked as a Special Director in the Department of Personnel and Training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. (ANI)
IAS Vineet Joshi, the new CBSE chairman, received his early schooling at Annie Besant School in Allahabad and GIC in Allahabad. Joshi went on to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade to get his Master’s in Business Administration. IIT Kanpur is where he received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
In 1999, he worked as a private secretary for the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and from 2000 to 2001, and he served as a private secretary for the Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
