The IMD is predicting heavy rain for a lot of places in India today. According to the weather agency, heavy rain is expected over parts of Konkan and Goa, as well as the Ghat regions of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Bihar. On July 3rd, there’s also a high chance of very heavy rain over Assam and Manipur, as well as parts of the Himalayan states of West Bengal and Sikkim.
In addition, the National Weather Service has also issued a heavy rainfall warning over the Gangetic plains of West Bengal (Jharkhand) and Odisha (Odisha) for the 3rd-6th July. In a tweet, the RWFC Delhi has also forecasted light intensity rain over Haryana, Uttar Pradesh in the next two hours.
The tweet stated about the weather of 3-06-2024 that a thunderstorm with moderate to high rainfall is expected over Narnaul and surrounding areas of Haryana. A light rainfall/drizzle is expected over and surrounding areas of Jhunjhunu, Saharanpur and Sahaswan in Uttar Pradesh in the next 2 hours.
The weather forecast also predicted the weather of Delhi. It stated that Delhi is predicting a cloudy sky today with some light rain or thunderstorms. The high temperature is expected to be around 37 degrees Celsius, while the low is around 27 degrees Celsius.
In Gujarat, according to the weather office, heavy rains are very probable in isolated areas in south Gujarat and in Saurashtra districts by Monday morning. On Sunday, heavy rains in many parts of Gujarat caused floods and cut off many villages.
On Sunday, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) declared that light to moderate rains are likely to fall in several districts of Tamil Nadu over the next 3 days. On July 3, the IMD predicted light to moderate rains accompanied by thunder and lightning over the following areas of Tamil Nadu.

South India
In the southern part of India, there is a likelihood of isolated heavy rainfall over the next four days. This is likely to occur in the Southern and Coastal Karnataka regions, as well as in the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry regions, and in Kerala and Mahe. Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall is likely in the Coastal Andhra Pradesh region and Yanam region during the 03rd to 05th July. On the 4th July, extremely heavy falls are likely in Coastal and South Interior Karnataka and Kerala and Mahe regions. Additionally, isolated very heavy precipitation is likely in Telangana, Rayalaseema, North Interior Karnataka, and Lakshadweep regions during the 3rd to 5th and 4th to 6th July.
West India
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very probable over the Konkan, Goa, and Ghat regions of Maharashtra during the next 4 days and over Gujarat State during 2nd to 6th July.
East & adjoining Northeast India:
In the next four days, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over the following areas in and around Northeast India: in Sub-Himalaya West Bengal and in Sikkim; in Assam and Meghalaya; in Arunachal and Nagaland; in Manipur and Mizoram; and in Tripura.
Heavy to Very Heavy rainfall is very likely over Bihar on July 2nd and July 3rd.
Extremely Heavy Precipitation is very likely over Assam and in Meghalaya and in Sub Himalayan West Bengal & in Sikkim on July 3rd and July 4th and 5th.
Isolated Heavy Precipitation in Gangetic West Bengal is likely on July 3rd, July 4th, July 5th and July 6th.
Jharkhand and Odisha are expected to experience isolated Heavy Precipitation on July 3rd-July 6th.
