At least two blasts were heard in Kabul’s Karte Parwan neighbourhood at approximately 7 a.m. local time, killed near Kabul Gurdwara. Afghanistan’s Hindu and Sikh minorities are concentrated in this region, which is highly inhabited.
After two explosions shook the city of Kabul this morning, at least two people have been killed and numerous more are still trapped inside a Gurdwara in the city. The explosions occurred close to the entrance gates of the Gurdwara. In addition to that, a number of gunshots could be heard.
According to local accounts, the two explosions took place close to the two gates of the Gurdwara Dashmesh Pita Sahib Ji at Karte Parwan, which is located in Kabul. Local news agencies were informed by Abdul Nafi Takour, the spokesperson for Afghanistan’s Ministry of the Interior, that the two individuals who passed away were a Sikh devotee and an Afghan guard.
According to our sources, there are a number of worshipers currently inside the Gurdwara. Furthermore, some of them were able to flee the building and were taken to a hospital in the area. However, the total number of casualties that occurred inside the Gurdwara is not yet known, according to what they claimed.
At approximately 7 o’clock in the morning, local time, at least two explosions were heard on a busy street close to the Gurdwara in the Karte Parwan neighbourhood of Kabul (Kabul). The region has a high population density and serves as the hub for the Sikh and Hindu minorities in Afghanistan.
According to BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who spoke with the ANI news agency, three people were able to make their way out of the Gurdwara, and two of them were taken to the hospital. He further said that the Gurdwara’s security man had been killed by gunfire.
“We are deeply concerned about the reports coming out of Kabul about an attack on a sacred Gurudwara in the city,” the spokesperson said. “The reports have us very worried.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement stating that they are “closely monitoring the situation” and are “waiting for further details on the unfolding developments.”
The cowardly attack on Gurdwara Karte Parwan ought to be condemned in the strongest terms possible by everyone. According to a tweet sent by the Minister of External Affairs, S Jaishankar, “Our first and main concern is for the wellbeing of the community.”

Recent Attacks in AfghanistanÂ
On June 11, numerous individuals were injured as a result of an explosion that occurred in Kabul. A tweet from Tolo News said that the explosion occurred in Batkhak Square, which is located in Kabul’s 10th district.
The Kabul security agency had previously said that an explosion had taken place earlier on Monday in Kabul’s Police District-4 using explosives that were transported on a bicycle.
The day before, on May 25, three explosions shook the capital of Afghanistan’s Balkh province, leaving at least 9 people dead and 15 more wounded. These most recent blasts followed a similar pattern. The same day, an explosion occurred in the Masjid Sharif Hazrat Zakaria mosque in Kabul city, resulting in the deaths of at least two persons, according to the authorities.
Rina Amiri, the United States Special Envoy for Women and Human Rights in Afghanistan, issued a statement in reaction to the assaults that took place in Balkh and Kabul, stating that the Taliban are responsible for ensuring the safety of the people and preventing atrocities.
According to a tweet that Rina Amiri had sent out, “The terrible acts in Mazar and Kabul serve no purpose than to inflict greater destruction on innocent Afghans who have endured enough.”
At least 30 people were murdered and dozens were wounded at the Hazrat Zekriya Mosque as a result of a further explosion that took place at a traffic plaza in Kabul’s fourth police district, killed near Kabul Gurdwara.
