India has stated that it is ready to assist and support the people of Afghanistan in their hour of need following a terrible earthquake. It killed about 1,000 people, wrecked homes, and displaced many more.
The first shipment of India’s earthquake relief aid for the people of Afghanistan has arrived in Kabul, according to Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi.
The Gayan, Barmala, Naka, and Ziruk districts in Patika province, as well as Spera district in Khost province, all devastated by the 5.9 magnitude earthquake. It slammed the Central Region of Afghanistan early on Wednesday morning (June 22).

As per the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the earthquake recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The earthquake caused at least 1,000 deaths, several thousand homeless people, and approximately 2,000 demolished dwellings.
On behalf of UN organizations and humanitarian partners, OCHA is organizing the emergency response.

In response to the needs of the Afghan people, India has sent out many supplies of humanitarian aid. It includes 30,000 metric tons (MT) of wheat, 13 tons of medications. It also includes 5,00,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and winter clothes.
India delivers additional medical supplies and food to Afghanistan
The government of India signed a contract with the WFP. It is for the distribution of 50,000 MT of wheat within Afghanistan.

A team from India visited Kabul on June 2-3. Tirumuri believes that humanitarian help should be provided impartially
Tirumuri reaffirms the need for humanitarian aid to be based on impartiality, independence, and neutrality. Humanitarian aid should be distributed without bias.
They should be available to everyone, regardless of racial origin, religious beliefs, or political affiliation. The most vulnerable people, such as women, children, and minorities, should receive aid first.
