Indian Debut of FIA-Backed Formula Regional Championship and Formula 4

In February 2022, the FIA-backed Formula Regional Indian Championship and Formula 4 Indian Championship are authorized to be in motion. The event will commence in cities across India – New Delhi, Chennai, Coimbatore and Hyderabad.

These championships are allocated following the F3 cars, hence being ratified by FIA. The winners of this tournament will be certified with an FIA super license, which will help to encourage the Indian racing talent to the forefront of Formula 1.

The Indian racing league will be the collaborative race of Formula Regional and F4 India. The match will enable an engagement of talented sportspeople in the field for the two FIA licensed championships.

All to Know About Formula 4 setup in India

According to the sources, about 100 crore net profits gains are invested in the cars and the organizing management of the street circuit infrastructure. India’s first-ever FIA graded street circuit will be established in Hyderabad.

Decision committee sportsmen like Armaan Ebrahim and Aditya Patel, former Formula 1 driver Narain Karthikeyan, and cricket legend Kapil Dev have all come on board for mentorship and business funding.

RPPL is focused on boosting motorsports in India from the grassroots and levelling up to a long term enhancement. On the plus side, they are investing in a new racing culture in the nation.

Joint MD, RPPL, Armaan Ebrahim said it is finally to herald world-class race cars in the homeland on the launch day.

He further welcomed Akhilesh and Navjeet to the company and foreseeing a long term future of motor racing in India, while Indian drivers to participate and elevate their skills and exposure to official car racing tournament, which shall lead to the stepping stone to the apex of car racing which F1.

The current chairman Mr Akhilesh Reddy of Racing Promotions, stated that Monaco had been one of the states with top skilled F1 drivers looking forward, we should also uplift our talent and showcase their skill can potentially lead to the development of India in F1.

While Mr Navjeet Gadok, the vice-chairman, also spoke a few words quoting that their investment will entrust an excellent development of the Indian motorsports, and the main aim is to acquire world-class manifestation of motorsports be deemed successful alongside inhabiting Indian motorsports to become revolutionary.

And labour a landmark in itself, not just for this sports but Indian sports in general. Let the countdown of the entanglement of India’s first ever motorsport begin !
