Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.
Today, the journey of INS Vikrant, the first warship made in the country, started at the hands of the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Inaugurates INS, Aircraft Carrier, First in Naval History, Senior Naval Officers. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is present at the inauguration ceremony.

Milestones in the history of the Indian Navy. It is the first indigenously built aircraft carrier. This is the first time in India’s naval history that such a large warship has been built. The new aircraft carrier was launched at a ceremony in Kochi, Kerala on Friday morning.

Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau designed the warship. Built at Kochi Shipyard.
Several large industries and small and medium-sized industries in India have contributed to its development. With the commissioning of INS Vikrant, the Indian Navy now has two operational aircraft carriers.
This warship is 262 meters long. Multiple planes can stay here. The air warning copter will be here. About one and a half thousand sailors can stay in this warship. 20 thousand crores of rupees have been spent in making the whole ship. Arrangements have been made so that 1600 naval personnel can stay here together. 30 aircraft will be able to take off from the air base.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on the occasion. He said, ‘INS Vikrant is not just a weapon. A testament to India’s skill and talent as well.’’So long the mark of British rule was the legacy of the Indian Navy. From now on it was removed.
