Instagram is seemingly testing another method to turn video posts into reels. The Meta-owned social media platform is said to have mentioned that the change is currently being put on trial with several users around the world. This is a part of Instagram’s plan to shorten the videos on the application. A social media analyst even shared a screenshot on Twitter displaying that the users who are a part of the test will see an immediate response from the app informing them that the videos that are posted will be now shared as Instagram reels.
A report from TechCrunch cited an email that was sent to the publication from a spokesperson for Meta, that Instagram is currently trying a new update on the app that will seemingly turn the video posts into reels on the platform.
It can be accepted that people from around the world on Instagram who are part of this trail will see the pop-up message. It says that if any user’s account is public and has shared a video, people will be able to see the audio of the video to create their reels. Also, the message says that anyone can now create a remix with the user’s reel and he/she can download it as a part of the remix. The users have a choice too to turn off remixing from settings.
