International Museum Day, is a five-day long program of multiple events launched on Monday by the Culture minister. The events include live performances and exhibitions at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) at the National Museum. Free entries with extended hours were provided to enjoy every bit of this event.

Aย teachers’ย trainingย programย willย beย heldย inย partnershipย withย CCRT,ย Dwarka,ย Mataย Sundariย College,ย andย theย Indianย Cultureย Portal.ย Followingย that,ย aย one-day meeting of museum educators will be held in Delhi, with participation from both central and state government museums. Different NGOs are organizing and dedicated walks for the children.
For the museum educators’ meeting, the National Museum is working collaboratively with Heritage Lab, Access for All, and Flow India. The meet is a pilot effort of the National Museum, designed to bring government museum educators together on a single platform to explore opportunities, difficulties, and feasible solutions.
International Museum Day is a global annual commemoration organized by the International Council of Museums on or around May 18. Every year, the event focuses on a different theme that represents a current issue confronting museums. The Power of Museums is this year’s theme. More than 37,000 museums from 158 countries and territories will be participating in the event.
