Ahead of IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals looks forward to strengthening they are fast-
bowling attack with Lasith Malinga joining the coaching team. In 2021, Malinga retired from all forms of cricket.
He owns the record for most wickets taken in the IPL, with 170, after nine seasons with the Mumbai Indians. For the 2018 season, he served as Mumbai’s bowling coach.
Sri Lanka named Lasith Malinga as their bowling strategy coach for the T20I series against Australia earlier this year.
Malinga will work with his former captain Kumar Sangakkara, the Royals’ head coach and director of cricket, and Paddy Upton, the Team Catalyst, in the Rajasthan camp.
