The launch of Barbie This Sunday was a star-studded affair with all of the most popular celebrities present and offering up stunning Barbie-inspired ensembles. It’s turning out to be a global phenomenon.
In the teaser, it felt like all of humanity on Earth was participating. The pink carpet did an excellent job of reiterating the movie’s message—which, based on the cryptic trailers, seems to be that we are all Barbie and She is all of us, but we are unsure because no evaluations have been made available—if that message is that we are all Barbie and Barbie is all of us.
Many attendees paid respect to the plastic icon’s colour scheme and skin smoothness, but that is standard in Hollywood. Without a doubt, Mattel must have enjoyed the circus of branding.
A few celebrities that offered glitz on the Iconic Pink Carpet:
Nicki Minaj
While travelling to the LA premiere of the film, Nicki Minaj made the internet go viral. Barbie, featuring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, held a star-studded launch in Los Angeles on Sunday (PT), and Nicki certainly stole the show.Â
A raucous applause greeted the artist as she entered the pink carpet at the premiere. She has released the songs Barbie World (with Aqua) in addition to Ice Spice as parts of the movie.
In the viral footage, Nicki was strolling the pink carpet in a purple number with a slit up to her thigh. Initially, by himself, the rap artist stood for photographers until Margot joined her. In a popular video, Margot can be seen making over Nicki.
Greta Gerwig
Margot Robbie, the actor who had purchased the film’s rights along with Warner Bros, requested Gerwig to pen Barbie. (Robbie plays lead in the movie Barbie.) According to Gerwig, she was afraid to take the position. It is not a superhero with an established backstory. There was a strong sense that it would be adopted. However, the adaptation we were doing involved a doll, a symbol of the turn of the century.
Dua Lipa
At the movie premiere in Los Angeles, singer Dua Lipa caught everyone’s attention with her red-carpet ensemble. The English-Albanian performer, who brought us the year’s biggest party song with Dance The Night, had everyone on the red carpet gasping for air in a transparent floor-length outfit.
Dua stood out in her silver mesh costume as the Barbie ensemble was dressed in colourful tones of pink, black, and beige for the lovely event.
Billie Eilish
Everyone’s beloved Billie Eilish also contributed to the carpet’s appearance. She donned short black trousers, giant potato head shoes and a dazzling crimson tie.
Margot Robbie
This Barbie appears to be in character. Margot Robbie wore a style that, like many of her previous press tour looks thus far, was inspired by the eponymous doll as she walked the pink carpet at the “Barbie” film’s LA premiere on Sunday.
The 33-year-old Australian actress pays homage to Solo in the Spotlight Barbie from the 1960s by accessorising her stunning Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown wearing Lorraine Schwartz jewellery and Manolo Blahnik heels.
Ryan Gosling
At the long-awaited Barbie movie premiere, which took place inside the Shrine Hall and Exposition Hall in Los Angeles on Sunday, Ryan Gosling wore a pink suit and a white button-down shirt. He also chatted with ET’s Will Marfuggi regarding his part in the production and his distinctive wardrobe.
In Gosling’s opinion, the costume was more a byproduct of portraying Ken in the movie than a direct homage to Barbie. Gosling’s explanation was as simple as “I adore simply pink now.”
