The much-awaited film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 had been released in India in around 200+ cities in India. It is one of the most popular series of all time and is recognized as a masterpiece of the era. The anime film was only to be released in major cities in PVR, but due to its widespread popularity, it had now been released in many non-metro cities such as Patna, Kochi, Prayag raj, and Lucknow.
PVR Pictures had released the film in India alongside Hong Kong content distributor and licensor Medialink, who had also purchased films in South Asia.
The film had been a blockbuster from the day one of its release and had been a great success in every metro as well as non-metro cities. It’s been a great step to release a movie in all parts of India and also great news for the anime lovers (otaku “おたく”) around India.
Kamal Gian Chandni, the chief strategy officer of PVR and CEO of PVR pictures, said that he was amazed to see that the movie is performing well even though it has been delayed, “leading the box office by a big margin at PVR cinemas today”, He said.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has collected around 50,000 advance ticket sales across India and grossed Rs 1.50 crore on the first day of its collection, which is a huge feat for an anime movie.
The anime movie released in India shows how much the anime fandom has increased throughout the country.
The jujutsu Kaisen movie was produced by MAPPA and distribute by Toho. It follows the story of Yuta Okkotsu, who joins the Tokyo Jujutsu High to free himself from the cursed spirit of his childhood friend Rika Orimoto.
The film includes two previously unseen scenes of Satoru Gojo and his old friend-turned-enemy Suguru Geto.

Satoru Gojo is one of the main characters in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a special grade jujutsu sorcerer and is also recognized as one of the world’s strongest sorcerers.
Sato is the pride of his Gojo family and he is also a teacher in Tokyo Jujutsu High, where he trains newbies to be sorcerers and protects them. The Satoru Gojo voice is provided by Yuichi Nakamura.
Rika Orimoto is a character in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High Prequel Series. She was the childhood friend of Yuta Okkotsu, who tragically died when she was hit by a car.
She is known as cursed spirit and one of the most powerful curses known to be the “queen of curses”. She haunted Yuta for his entire life and finally passed on to the afterlife when Yuta joined Tokyo jujutsu high. Rika Orimoto’s voice is provided by Kana Hanazawa.
Maki Zenin is a first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Yuta’s classmate becomes a close friend of Yuta’s throughout the story development.
Maki’s classmates Toge, Inukami, and Panda also make cameo appearances in the film.
Suguru Geko is an antagonist in the movie. He has been classified as one of the strongest sorcerers after
Gojo and Yuta Okkotsu. One of the four special grade sorcerers.

Panda is known to be a special cursed corpse created by principal Masamichi Yaga and have the ability to talk and fight using his insane physical strength.

The movie is loved for its bold art and intense storytelling. Along with this, distinctive visual style and the detailing of characters make it worth watching. The film is a prequel to the famed anime series Jujutsu Kaisen and follows the story of the under-confident and brooding boy, Yuta Okkostu (Megumi Ogata), who’s only mentioned in the show but makes his first on-screen appearance with this outing.
