Producer JD Majethia Hints at another season of the show to fulfill fans’ wishes.
Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, first aired in 2004, is a very popular and renowned Sitcom on TV screens. It was one of the most iconic comedy shows on Indian television you could ask for. The show premiered in 2004 and quickly gained popularity thanks to Ratna Pathak, Rupali Ganguly, Satish Shah, Rajesh Kumar, Sumeet Raghavan, and others’ stunning casting and great performances.
The show got a reboot in 2017 and season two of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai was released on Disney Plus Hotstar. The season saw a leap of seven years. The production of season two had to be stopped because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Fans of the show are happy to learn that the show’s producer, JD Majethia – or you may know him as Himanshu from another popular and iconic comedy show from around the same time, Khichdi – recently hinted towards the possibility for a third season of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai.
“Ek aur season Banna hi chahiye,” producer JD Majethia stated in an interview with ETimes. “We will make all the efforts. Everybody is ready to extend their efforts. Some more time is needed. People will have to wait a little bit. What the entire nation wants, we have to fulfill their wishes,” he added.
When Sarabhai vs Sarabhai received low ratings, it was quickly taken off the air. However, the show has established a cult following in the years since. The much-anticipated 2017 reboot of the famous sitcom, on the other hand, did not receive nearly as much praise.
Rupali Ganguly recently told Pinkvilla that she was still a beginner when the first season of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai premiered, and she looked up to veterans Satish and Ratna on set. Rupali proceeded to say that the show’s cast and staff are like family. The cast of the program gets together frequently, and Rupali Ganguly had previously uploaded a video of their get-together. Rupali Ganguly is now starring in Anupama, a daily soap.
For the fans of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, this announcement brings happiness, as they see one of their favorite shows come back with another season. Hopefully, it will still be able to hold the charm and humor it had back then.
