The joker cards were shown during the AEW Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, which was full of unexpected twists and turns.
Samoa Joe As the first match of Dynamite, Elite stepped into the ring to face the much-anticipated Joker Card. This match marked the beginning of the show.
While waiting for his opponent, Joe waited, and it turned out that his opponent would be the former WWE superstar John Morrison.
The fight between the ROH World Television Champion and Johnny Elite, formerly known as Morrison but now going by the name Johnny Elite, took place in the wrestling ring.
Elite would come near and come close to picking up the win on Joe, but a botched effort by Elite to use the Starship Pain enabled Joe to capitalize and down Elite with the Muscle Buster to pick up the victory. Elite would come close and almost pick up the victory on Joe.
In November of 2021, Elite was let go from WWE, and very immediately after that, the fans of AEW began to embrace him under his new name.
Elite has been known by a variety of names during his career, including Johnny IMPACT during his time in IMPACT Wrestling and Johnny Mundo in Lucha Underground. It is not known whether this will be a cameo that appears just once or if Elite will consist of nothing but cameos from this point on.
Samoa Joe will compete against Kyle O’Reilly of the Undisputed Elite in the semi-finals. The victor of the match will compete against Adam Cole at AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view event, which will take place on May 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
