Jungkook Wins the MVP Award at Tokyo FM
On June 21, Tokyo FM announced on their official Twitter account that BTS’ Jungkook has been named the month’s MVP. Through a vote, Jungkook’s solo singles My You has taken the number one slot with 50.97% voting rates for POP-K TOP 10 Friday on the IDOL CHAMP and radio show Tokyo FM. Jungkook’s My You topped the charts for three weeks in a row, despite competition from other big K-pop singles.
The rankings are solely based on fan votes, and even though the song has not been pushed in the way that typical K-pop comeback songs are, nor is it available on any commercial music platform, My You has proven its attraction, and fans have flocked to this K-pop.
My You was published on June 13, 2022, on the 9th anniversary of global sensation BTS’ debut. The singer presented this wonderful song to his fans ARMYs, and the song is still performing well in 2024. Jungkook’s fellow group member Jimin appears on many top ten lists in June.
Other K-pop tracks on Friday’s POP-K TOP10
POP-K TOP10 is presented by IDOLCHAMP. We witness several famous Korean music artists take their spots on the chart on Friday, a voting-based music chart in Japan for popular K-pop songs.
