Due to scheduling difficulties with his upcoming film “Vikram,” South superstar Kamal Haasan said on Sunday that he has left the reality TV show “Bigg Boss Ultimate.” The formal announcement of Kamal Haasan departure from the digital version of “Bigg Boss Tamil” comes a day after media speculation.
The 67-year-old actor revealed the news on Twitter with the phrase “After a brief hiatus,” promising fans that he will return for the sixth season of the famous reality show.
“The pandemic, and the rightfully imposed lockdowns and limitations by the government, has created chaos and forced us to reschedule the filming and post-production of our upcoming film, Vikram, Haasan said in a statement. Haasan has hosted five seasons of the show’s Tamil on TV since 2017.
He claimed that the production schedule for “Vikram” had been precisely organized so that it would not interfere with his commitments to “Bigg Boss,” a show he described as “extremely important to his heart.” So much so that I ignored any personal discomfort I could have felt after spending time with Covid.
I was back on stage, meeting all of you and hosting this fantastic show when the moment went wrong, “he added.
The actor further stated that launching the first digital avatar of “Bigg Boss” was an honor because he has always been a supporter of innovation and technology in the entertainment industry. The OTT version of “Bigg Boss” was revealed on January 17, and the show premiered on January 30.
“Many of these projects and innovations have been pioneered by Disney Plus Hotstar. It gives me great pleasure to be associated with Disney Plus Hotstar as a brand ambassador.”
However, because of the forced rescheduling of production operations for “Vikram” as a result of the lockdown and limits imposed, days required to be allowed for “Bigg Boss Ultimate” overlapped, he stated.
It has become hard for the actor to manage both “Vikram” and “Bigg Boss” at the same time, according to him. Given that there are only a few days left to shoot scenes involving some of the industry’s most well-known actors and technicians, juggling both ‘Vikram’ and ‘Bigg Boss’ has become nearly tricky.
“It would be inequitable to make such illustrious actors and professionals wait for me, given their busy schedules and other obligations. As a result, I’m forced to drop out of this season of Bigg Boss Ultimate “Haasan” stated, “Until Season 6 of Bigg Boss, I’ll see you again.
My warmest greetings to you all, “He concluded. Raaj Kamal Films International, Haasan’s production company, is behind “Vikram.”
The Tamil-language film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of “Master” fame, is advertised as a high-octane action drama. The production of the film began in July 2021. “Vikram” also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, two of the biggest names in South cinema.
Haasan is looking forward to the release of “Indian 2,” directed by S Shankar. Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, and Rakul Preet Singh also star in the film.
