On Sunday, Karanvir Bohra was evicted from Lock Upp for the second time. The popular actor garnered the fewest votes as compared to Payal Rohatgi and Ali Merchant, bringing his time on the show to an end.
Following his departure from Kangana Ranaut’s show, Karanvir held a brief live conversation with followers on his Instagram page. While he was first disappointed, he felt he couldn’t stand the nastiness of the game any longer. The actor stated that he would like to take a long break and travel.
Karanvir Bohra said, “I am so glad that I am out. I enjoyed the show but the game will only get dirtier now. I could not take it longer.” He said that he felt relieved after being evicted from the show, particularly because of how violent and abusive it got, especially towards women.
A lot of physical violence happening towards women. I am completely against that and I had to take a stand. There are a lot of abusive languages, I have a family and a life outside. I cannot take this. If you have nothing to lose, the show is great for you. I have a lot at stake. I tried to be as badass as I could but I couldn’t lose my dignity and play the game.”
However, the actor stated that he loved his friendship with Munawar and intends to keep in touch with him.
“The game sometimes becomes competitive. As one starts focusing on that, friendship is forgotten. I will stay in touch and go to his shows. I love him as a person but he turned too scheming in the game. He would also provoke people and shoot from their shoulder.”
