‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, is a much-anticipated movie that stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt alongside Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. He shared a poster of the film, the caption read, “It’s just the beginning of this ERA OF LOVE! #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani TEASER OUT TOMORROW! Set your reminders now! In cinemas on 28th July 2024.” Soon after, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and the rest of the cast of the film shared the post on their social media accounts. Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt posted a post yesterday with the caption, “A new ERA of LOVE begins tomorrow.” Fans were eagerly anticipating the announcement because it was evident that something was in the works for the film.
Karan Johar presented ten posters for the film introducing the full cast earlier in May, on the filmmaker’s birthday. According to rumours, The film follows a young man played by Ranveer Singh from a wealthy upper-class family who lives in a lavish house in Gurgaon and a young woman portrayed by Alia Bhatt from the middle class who lives in a crumbling fort. Ranveer hails from the wealthy Randhawa family, whereas Alia is a Chatterjees’ middle-class daughter.

While it will surely be Karan Johar’s take on the love story, one of the film’s big highlights is expected to be the music. The music of the film is produced by Pritam. This film will be Karan Johar’s seventh directorial, following Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Student of the Year, My Name Is Khan, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and will honour his 25th anniversary working in the entertainment industry. Fans are thrilled to see the Gully Boy duo return to the big screen. They shared their delight in response to Karan Johar’s post, writing, “Cannot wait anymore.” Some others also inquired about the trailer’s release date.
The film was shot in a variety of locations, including Mumbai, New Delhi, Russia, and Jammu and Kashmir. The initial schedule was in Mumbai, with Singh and Bhatt shooting a song in Moscow in September 2021. The second schedule started in Delhi in October 2021.
The next schedule was supposed to be in early 2022, but it was pushed back due to the spread of the Omicron virus. Finally, in April 2022, the third schedule began near Mumbai and Delhi. Dharma Productions issued a video declaring the film’s completion on August 1, 2022, except for a song, which was postponed owing to Bhatt’s pregnancy. The song was shot in Jammu and Kashmir, and the film was completed in March 2024.
Alia Bhatt will make her Hollywood debut with the film Heart of Stone. The actress will appear with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in the film, which will be available on Netflix on August 11.
