Netflix released a teaser for the Korean version of Money Heist and will release the first season on June 24th.
The world-wide popular Spanish series, Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), is coming back again in the Korean version.
Netflix announced the release of “Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area” on June 24, 2022. Money Heist fans all around the world are expecting the Korean version to be as impactful as the original Spanish version.
Casts in the Korean Money Heist
The Professor character played by Alvaro Morte in the Spanish series will be re-played by Yoo Ji-Tae in the upcoming Korean version.
The badass yet kind hearted character played by Ursula Corbero will be played by Jeon Jong-Seo. Park Hae-Soo will star as the controversial character, Berlin.
He has also played the protagonist role in the popular series Squid Game. The other characters Lee Hyun-Woo as Rio, Jang Yun-Joo as the beloved character Nairobi, Lee Won-Jong as Moscow, Kim Ji-Hun as Denver, Kim Ji-Hun as Helsinki, Lee Kyu-Ho as Oslo.
The characters are not yet made public. The director of this series is directed by Kim Hong-Sun.
Announcement of Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area
On November, 2020 the announcement of the remaking of Korean was officially announced. Park Hae-Soo made an announcement and thanked, “For the fantastic series they have developed, I have to express my gratitude to the cast and crew of Money Heist, both as a performer and as a fan of the series. The Korean version of Money Heist will be released in 2022, and we look forward to sharing it with you.”

Three months ago, Netflix Asia released the title announcement for Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area. The video showed the Professor picking up the mask for his fellow thieves.
The iconic “Salvador Dali” used in the Spanish version is shown as chosen by the Professor, but then the camera goes blank and shows the police officer.
But it is confirmed that the Salvador Dali mask used in the original series was not chosen by the Professor, as the posters show the traditional Korean mask.
A few days ago, Netflix released the date announcement that the first episode will be aired on June 24th, 2022.
The fans are really hyped up for the Korean version of Money Heist, as they believe that k-dramas always bring out different kinds of plots.
