The famous legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Breach Candy Hospital after being infected with coronavirus and pneumonia. As per the latest report, Lata Mangeshkar’s health is stable after the continuous deleterious health report. The 92-year-old singer suffered from covid-19 and pneumonia, and was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai last week.
Maharashtra Health Minister, Rajesh Tope, said, “Lata Mangeshkar’s condition is improving. I spoke to authorities of the Breach Candy Hospital, who updated me about her health. I told them that the spokesperson of the hospital should provide updates on the singer’s condition as people are eager to know about her health.” Tope further told reporters, “After discussing with her family members, the Breach Candy Hospital can update about the health of the veteran singer.”
This morning, Associate professor Dr Pratit Samdani, from the Breach Candy Hospital, reported PTI about Lata Mangeshkar’s ongoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). A special doctors team is allotted to supervise Mangeshkar’s health condition.
Furthermore, on Thursday, Rachana Shah, Mangeshkar’s niece, appealed to the media to maintain the family’s privacy. The veteran singer’s relatives also mentioned the positive response of her health, and keeping her age factor in mind, she needs to be kept under the supervision of special team doctors.
While Mangeshkar is under treatment, the doctors also said that her fans need to pray for her speedy recovery. Meanwhile, Asha Bhosle holds a special puja at home for Lata Mangeshkar’s speedy recovery. The puja ceremony was organised at Lata Mangeshkar’s Mumbai home. She revealed to ETimes, “Unke ghar par (Prabhukunj, Peddar Road) Shiv Bhagwaan ka rudras bithaye hain aur puja-path kar Rahe hain for her recovery.”
It is noteworthy that the famous singer who is popularly known as ‘India’s Nightingale’ had tested Covid-19 positive on January 11, after getting contracted with one of her house helpers.
Lata Mangeshkar’s career
Lata Mangeshkar, known as a legendry Indian playback singer. She has sung over a thousand Bollywood songs and also sang songs in over thirty-six Indian Languages and foreign languages. Among many others, she was also honored with the most prestigious award, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1989 by the Government of India. She also received the highest Civilian honor Award, Bharat Ratna, after M.S. Subbulakshmi achieved this honor.
“Lata Mangeshkar is also honored with the recipient of three National Film Awards, 15 Bengal Film Journalists Association Awards, 4 Filmfare Best Playback Awards, 2 Filmfare Special Awards, Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, and many more.”
She began her singing career to support her family after the demise of her father Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar in 1942. Lata Mangeshkar got her first playback break with the song Dil Mera Toda from the movie Majboor (1948). Though she received her first major hit with the movie Mahal (1949).
