Jayeshbhai Jordaar was released on 13 May at all Indian theatres with high expectations and a blazing social commentary quite taboo in the Indian society. However, it has fall flat in its viewership and has been consistently scoring low at the box office. In spite of a stellar star cast and their phenomenal acting. The film opened to mixed reviews. According to the daily reports, its earning has been attributed to Rs 17 crore as its total box office collection, as of now.
Ranveer Singh plays the titular character of a Gujarati man in the film. The film falls under the category of Social comedy-drama and has been written and directed by Divyang Thakkar. The film has been jointly produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Playing a central character of a man fighting patriarchal norms in Indian society, Ranveer Singh proves his acting prowess. Shalini Pandey plays the central female character opposite Ranveer Singh. Ratna Pathak Shah, Boman Irani, and Deeksha Joshi have been cast in the supporting roles.
