The Maharashtra government has started easing the Covid restrictions amid a drop in coronavirus cases. According to the new order, now restaurants and cinema halls will operate with 100 percent capacity. However, this concession has been implemented for 14 districts, including Mumbai.
According to a notification by the state government, the Maharashtra government on Wednesday relaxed coronavirus-related restrictions in 14 districts, including Mumbai. Restaurants, shopping complexes, cinema halls and theatres will operate at 100 percent capacity in these 14 districts.
Apart from this, swimming pools, religious places, amusement parks will also be allowed to function with 100 per cent capacity in all 14 districts.
It is being told that the cases of corona in Maharashtra are decreasing continuously, and the situation is also being told under control, because of which this decision has been taken.
The 14 districts where restrictions have been relaxed include Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Pune, Bhandara, Sindhudurg, Nagpur, Raigad, Wardha, Ratnagiri, Satara, Sangli, Gondia, Chandrapur and Kolhapur. All shopping complexes, cinema halls, restaurants and bars, sports complexes, gyms, spas, swimming pools, religious places, drama theatres, tourist places, amusement parks etc., are allowed to operate with 100 percent capacity in these districts.
After 544 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Maharashtra on Wednesday, the total number of infected people increased to 78,66,924. The state health department said no more death of five patients today; the total number of dead has reached 1,43,706.
According to the department, after 1,007 people became infection free in the last 24 hours, the total number of people who have been cured has gone up to 77,13,575. The number of active patients in the state has come down to 5,643. 38 cases of infection were reported in Mumbai, while no new death cases were reported.
