Richa Chadha Controversy
It all began when Richa posted Lt. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi’s statement—the commander of the Northern Army—again on her Twitter account with the caption “Galwan says hey.” Due to her word choice, the actress faced harsh criticism and was ruthlessly ridiculed on social media.
Dwivedi stated in the statement, “We are fully prepared to retake PoK from Pakistan. We are awaiting the government’s instructions. We’ll get the job done right away. In the past, if Pakistan had broken the cease-fire, the response would have been different—something they could not have imagined. – Northern Command IA Commanding-in-Chief
The internet was agitated by Richa Chadha’s remark, and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar tweeted his displeasure “To witness this hurts. Nothing should ever cause us to be unappreciative of our armed forces. “Woh hain toh aaj hum hain”. Even so, she later removed the message, apologized, and clarified that she had never intended to harm anyone’s feelings.
