Sushil worked as a supervisor at the Delhi Metro Depot in West Vinod
Nagar.
A 43-year-old maintenance supervisor in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), allegedly killed his wife, Anuradha, and six-year-old daughter, Aditi, before killing himself. He has also attempted to kill his 13-year-old son, Yuvaraj, who is being treated at the hospital for his stab wounds and is fighting for his life. The incident was reported in North East Delhi’s Shahdara district from Jyoti Colony.
After stabbing his wife and children, Sushil had searched the internet on how to tie a knot with a rope, indicating that he wanted to kill himself after the crimes he had committed. A PCR call was received when a Delhi Metro employee and Sushil’s colleague, Sudhir, had called Sushil, and he had confessed his crimes and said that he had killed everyone. That’s when the police was informed of this incident.
When the police reached Sushil’s house they found three bodies and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams were called in to inspect the crime scene. The reason for the crime is yet to be found and is unclear as to why Sushil had taken this drastic step. The police had revealed that Sushil’s body was found hanging from the ceiling and the bodies of his wife and daughter were lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Both had stab injuries and were dead on the spot, whereas Sushil’s 13-year-old son, who had also suffered stab wounds, was still alive and was rushed to the nearby GTB hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment and the doctors stated that he has a chance of survival.
The authorities even stated that when they found the boy, he had placed a bedsheet over his wound which might have saved him from losing a lot of blood and saved his life. When the police had broke open the door to the second floor, they had found a dog chained to the stairs that led to the terrace. As the investigations was going on, it was found out that Sushil was going through a financial crisis and it suspected that this might have been the reason for him to take this drastic step. The documents found there indicated that he had mortgaged jewellery and had taken a lot of loans. His phone has been sent to the lab for further examination.
The kitchen knife that was used by Sushil was found near the bodies and has been sent to the lab for further examining. Sushil worked as a supervisor at the Delhi Metro Depot in West Vinod Nagar. The case appears to be of that of murder, attempt to murder and suicide. Further investigations are yet to be done. The Principal Executive Director of DMRC, Anuj Dayal, had revealed that this is a police case and does’nt want to get involved but any assistance or information if needed by the police, they will cooperate and give the police whatever they need.
