In 24 hours, a reduction of 2,741 cases have been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload. Taking the COVID-19 tally to 4,30,10,922, India reported a total of 1,581 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. The active cases declined to 23,9132 according to Union Health Ministry Data.
Of the total infections, the active cases comprise 0.06 per cent of the total infections. It showed that the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.74 per cent.
In the active COVID-19 caseload in 24 hours, a reduction of 2,741 cases have been recorded. The Ministry said that the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.28 per cent while the weekly positivity rate stood at 0.39 per cent.
It can be seen that Pune Civic Chief and Civic Body Administrator Vikram Kumar asked people who have not yet taken the second dose to get themselves vaccinated as there was a fear the fourth wave amid a rise in cases of China, South Korea and European Nationa as there are rising cases of COVID-19 in some Nations.
He said “We are keeping a close watch on the situation. There are around 1.5 lakh people who are eligible for the second dose but have not taken it as yet. We want to get vaccinated as soon as possible and speaking to the reporters, Mr Kumar said medical facilities like oxygen beds etc can be activated immediately if it was required.
While in the case of Tamil Nadu, it was observed that no COVID-19 fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours with the total deaths remaining unchanged at 38,025 according to the medical bulletin and there has been a downward trend in the new infections, where Tamil Nadu on Tuesday saw its daily COVID-19 cases fall below 50.
