Dead bodies lying in Bucha describe images of war crimes conducted by the Russian forces. Antony Blinken says the pictures are a “gut punch” to humanity.Â
The images of war crimes are devastating after the retreat of Russian forces from the outer areas of Kyiv. The city of Bucha is filled with dead bodies lying on the streets. Some other images show the intensity of torture practised on civilians. Â
In the wake of the 5-week occupation by Russian forces, hundreds of civilian bodies became the victims of war crimes. Many of them were lying with their hands tied with a bullet in their head. The pictures depict the brutality of Russian forces that shot the civilians from short distances. Â
The pictures of the streets in Bucha depict an unexplainable war crime scene. The witnesses are so traumatised by the suffering that they are unable to speak.Â
Bucha, a once-thriving town that has fallen into oblivionÂ
The Ukrainian authorities state that around 410 bodies have been recovered from the areas near Kyiv. The mayor of Bucha says that Bucha alone has witnessed the deaths of 300 civilians who were under the control of Chechen fighters.Â
For the time being, Ukrainian authorities were able to enter the towns of Bucha, Irpin, and Hostomel. The authorities say that they need more time to look closely at the extent of war crimes in these towns and others too. Â
Prosecutor General Iryna Venedyktova said, “We need to work with witnesses. People are so stressed that they are physically unable to speak. ” Â
So far, the authorities have examined 140 bodies. Other bodies will be examined soon. Venedyktova has asked for more forensic experts to be sent to the field hospital in the Kyiv region.Â
Imposing sanctions on Russia is just not enough: Ukrainian PresidentÂ
Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, said, “Hundreds of people have been murdered. Corpses of tortured and killed citizens cover the streets. mined areas. Even the dead were mined.”Â
According to Zelensky, the west would impose sanctions on Russia as a result of seeing the war crimes. The west should be more ardent in its dealings with the Russians. Numerous individuals are assassinated in Bucha and nearby cities. Civilians are laying on the streets with gunshot wounds. On the other side, Russia strongly rejects any allegations that its forces shot civilians in Bucha.Â
The photographs of dead people in Ukraine’s Bucha, according to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, are a “punch in the gut.” Additionally, those responsible for these war crimes will face prosecution. “The most important thing is that we should not get numb to this,” he said in an interview. ” This cannot be normalised. This is the everyday occurrence as long as Russia’s crimes against Ukraine continue.”Â
When questioned about Russian involvement in Ukraine’s crimes, Blinken said that they will look into it. “We will investigate closely and record all we find,” he said. ” We will compile it to ensure that the appropriate institutions and organisations are notified.”Â
Additionally, he denied that the US is delivering Soviet-era tanks to Ukraine’s armed forces. He did, however, acknowledge that NATO nations continue to provide Ukraine with armaments. Furthermore, Ukraine will soon have more than ten anti-tank systems deployed for every Russian tank.Â
Long trenches of mass graves in BuchaÂ
Over 300 civilians have been killed. Authorities and other people are burying their fellow countrymen in mass graves. Satellite photographs reveal a 45-foot-long trench constructed into the grounds of a Ukrainian church.Â
