Then she started posting on her Instagram and announcing a complete midnights track list with Tik Tok video series Mayhem with me. The album was inspired by “13 sleepless nights” of Taylor’s life. She visualized the album as 1970s fashion with subtle grooves, vintage synthesizers
Its main subject matter includes depression, anxiety, self-criticism, self-assurance, insecurity, and insomnia. I found the album absolutely enchanting. Going through some hard times this album was an absolutely energy boost if you are suffering from any problems this album will help you to overcome your problems it’s of 44 minutes but those minutes are absolutely wonderful. Album was released on 21st October, Friday at 3.14 am USA STD. People are absolutely going crazy because of this album including myself. The songs even tell a few points of the history of the 1950-70s women of high English white class.
All her songs are just perfect and it took a lot of my effort and thinking to place them in order. Her all songs are wonderfully relatable and I can listen to this album again and again. HERE come some of the songs which are more than just songs to me.
Lavender haze is A perfect song to dance to carefree in your room. When you want to have a different life other than what others people are expecting from you because sometimes you should be the one who doesn’t give a damn about what people say and get it out of your chest.
Anti-hero lyrics are showing the loss of self-esteem and where you feel out of the place. The feeling you get the feeling that everything going wrong is your fault and you are never good enough to do anything the lyrics “I’ll directly stare at the sun but never in the mirror”
Maroon is a dangerous song by cat queen with perfect electric beats. But the song portrays’s how a woman was shamed in front of the party even though the fault was of her partner but still she is crying cause the time changed from being lovers to this problematic relationship. “carnations you had thought were roses, that’s us”
Vigilante shit the vibe which you need when you are getting ready. This is an empowering song that can give you the courage to go and fight for your right. Just to give you the main character vibe, I have been listening to this song every day in the morning while getting ready. “don’t get sad get even.” This line is everything.
Bejeweled the whole reputation aura is in this song the high school revenge thing, similar to the ‘revenge’ by Taylor. “When I walk in the room, I can still make the whole place shimmer’’
Labyrinth this song just breaks my heart as the broken hearts can just feel the lyrics of this song. “it only hurts this much right now, that’s what I was thinking the whole time” this song just takes back me to the time when I really thought this just for a minute and I got anxiety attack. And I was alone, then my mind said just breathe in and out.
Karma – “Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend karma is relaxing though” when I first heard the name in mayhem I was most excited about this song because how she laughed after saying that made all of us suspicious. But this song could be my morning affirmation for me as it portrait karma as the thing which will reflect in your life.
Sweet nothing – it is a wonderful song portraying how being dependent on someone else can lead to nothing. And how the people wanted sweet nothing with the privileged white females who were expected to do nothing.
Mastermind – this song could also be related to the things which people plan to do when they are around the people they are attracted to but others make them feel like an outsider, so they act like a criminal and plan every move to be recognized or appreciated in others’ eyes. We all are masterminds if we make moves to be with someone but never let anyone else know it.
