The PMO of the nation was not happy and took a dig at Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for “applauding” Channi’s remark
Amidst the Uttar Pradesh elections, many statements were issued by various political leaders. Among these were Yogi Adityanath, Akhilesh Yadav, and many more. Recently, Punjab CM Channi made a remark appending the people of Uttar Pradesh, saying that, “won’t let UP, Bihar, Delhi de bhaiya, come here to rule, enter the state.”
His mindset showed the decisiveness of Congress and how the National party wanted to create a monopoly power over the state. This statement created a series of controversies over time, and these controversies communicated rapidly across the country.
The Punjab CM was very much clear and sounded with his statement, and he didn’t want any other party or any other ‘outsider’ to have control over the state of Punjab.
The same notion was grip fitted in the mind of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. Her message to the people was straightforward that no outsiders should enter the state of West Bengal.
Coming back to the statement of Punjab CM, his remarkable introspection was with the people of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi that they should not enter and have a tight grip over the whole state.
PM Modi attacked Congress, Channi and Priyanka Vadra.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the leadership qualities of Congress over Punjab on Thursday. He said that Congress’s incompetence could create a monopolistic power over the whole state.
PM Narendra Modi also digs at the General Secretary of Congress, Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. When Channi gave this statement, her “applauding” behavior took the nation into a offend for making such a nasty mindset for the people. Adding to this, Modi also said, “when their Chief Minister was insulting the people of UP, the Gandhi Parivar was clapping and today they are here in UP to seek votes from the people. You have to guard yourself against these dynasts too.”
PM Narendra Modi issued the above statement at a physical rally held at Fatehpur district. This rally was born in a short period after Union Home Minister of India Amit Singh upraised the issue of Lakhimpur Kheri’s Mohammadi assembly constituency.
According to the reports, the Fatehpur districts of Uttar Pradesh go to the fourth phase as polling begins from February 23 for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Channi’s perception against the statement
Hours after Modi’s speech and rally held at Fatehpur, the chief minister of Punjab Channi said on Thursday, “My statement was about people like Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh who come to Punjab as outsiders and create disturbance in the State.” He said in a video message shared by his social media handles and from the official handles of the Punjab Government. He further said that his statement was twisted and presented in a coarse format; he said that he respects every state and people residing there, as a people of every state have helped the state of Punjab to build over time with rapid development.
He added to his stake, “My statement yesterday was taken out of context. I believe, everyone who has entered Punjab has worked hard and has taken the state on the path of development. We heartily love all of them who have made Punjab better.”
Contrary to the statement, Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP chief, slammed Channi’s argument and stated, “It is very shameful. We strongly condemn comments aimed at any individual or any community. Priyanka Gandhi also belonged to UP, so she is also a ‘bhaiya.’ Kejriwal quoted this to ANI.
With this, Narendra Modi also continued to attack various other parties like BSP and Samajwadi party as the dynastic parties, and they did not contribute to the nation first. tement
