Motorola Edge 20 Pro Price in India
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is available for Rs. Thirty-six thousand nine hundred ninety-nine in India and only one structure with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is on offer. You can select between Midnight Sky and Iridescent Cloud colour options, and I had a Midnight Sky unit for this review.
Motorola Edge 20 Pro design
The Edge 20 Pro looks like the Edge 20 (Review) and is instantly recognizable as a part of the Edge 20 series. The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is a beauty. Even though it isn’t as sleek as the Edge 20, it feels more exceptional.
The Edge 20 Pro sports a massive 6.7-inch display with a camera hole at the top centre and thin bezels all around.
Motorola says that the device’s frame is aluminium, but a resin coating robs it of that premium quality. The Edge 20 Pro has a side-equipped fingerprint scanner that could purposely undermine competition and use an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Specifications about the phone
The phone has an expansive 6.7-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ support. The display panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate which is among the highest at this price point, and it also has a 576Hz of peak touch sampling rate.
Running the Edge 20 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Motorola has presented this smartphone in a single configuration only, with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and you don’t have the option to expand storage.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro supports Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, dual 5G, 4G VoLTE, and six satellite navigation systems. It has packed in a 4,500 mAh battery and ships with a 30W charger in the box.
The charger, equipped with USB Type-C output, receives Type-C to Type-C cable in the box.
Software on the phone is clean and comparatively free from bloat. The phone runs Android 11, and my unit had the September safety patch. You also promise two years of Android software updates, which should keep the device from feeling outdated.
Motorola’s My UX customizations are available for you to customize the smartphone’s look, and you can change the color and fonts of various UI components.
Motorola lets you enable several custom motions from within the Moto app. For example, you can tap and hold a three-finger to take a screenshot or flip the phone over to silence and receive calls.
There are also conventional Moto motions, such as a double-chop to toggle the torch and a double-crank to start the camera app.
Are you planning to play games? The Edge 20 Pro has you covered. In terms of battery life, the phone gains from a slightly bigger battery compared to the Edge 20. Charging is quick but not the best on the market.
The supplied 30W charger takes to get the Edge 20 Pro from zero to 58 percent in 30 minutes and 93 percent after an hour.
Final Verdict about the phone
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is not the most perfect. However, the firm’s vision holds enormous potential – after all, who doesn’t like the ring of a flagship phone with a near experience of stock Android user interface that’s free of any bloatware.
The phone performs well and doesn’t clog up its interface with gimmicky features. The smartphone also ships with a gorgeous OLED display and charges relatively quickly too.
It also helps that the device starts at Rs 36,999 in India, undercutting the likes of the iQOO 7 Legend by some margin.
