Two men riding a motorcycle in the Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh committed the murder of a woman on Monday morning. 200 meters from the neighborhood police station, the attacker abandoned his gun and fled. One man has been detained by police, who are questioning him.
A 20-year-old BA student from Ram Lakhan Patel College was heading home after her exam at around 11:00 am when two men came towards her on a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle. They had their faces covered and carried a country-made gun with them. The victim died on the spot after being shot in the head. Locals tried to catch them but were unsuccessful.
The victim’s father said that the girl was on her way from Ram Lakhan Patel Degree College after writing her paper on digital marketing.
According to authorities, after the incident, the accused concealed his motorcycle’s license plate behind the Pachokhar culvert and dumped his clothes into the Betwa River to conceal his identity.
Statement of the Police
According to the Jalaun Superintendent of Police, Iraj Raja, the victim was murdered in the incident, which took place around 11:30 in the morning. This was carried out by two perpetrators. The victim and the accused, Raju Ahirwar, were discovered to have had a very long period of contact. Perhaps they were discussing getting married. The accused and his cousin brother attacked and killed the girl as she refused to marry him.
He further said, “Raju Ahirwar made an attempt to run by grabbing SHO’s gun when he was called in for interrogation. During the counter-firing, he was injured and was eventually taken to the hospital. However, he has admitted to his crime.”
He added that the inquiry is ongoing and we are collecting all possible evidence. We will try to submit the charge sheet within a week’s time and seek the most severe sentence for the accused.

The deceased was shown in the video footage lying in a pool of blood on the ground after having been shot in the head. The deceased is in her school or college uniform, and close to her body is the gun that was used to shoot her. The locals and police are seen observing the surroundings and the woman as she lies face down on the ground.
