It is about time Himachal Pradesh abandoned the custom of never re-electing a present administration, says JP Nadda
Days before the Himachal Pradesh election, BJP president J.P. Nadda on November 8, declared that a uniform civil code would be established at the state level. Also added, in contrast to its competitors, his party only makes election pledges after careful consideration.
JP Nadda interview with PTI
He said in a lengthy interview with PTI that the BJP would address concerns about the old pension plan after thoroughly investigating the situation and that the people of Himachal Pradesh do not take the Congress seriously since it keeps making outlandish promises.
If elected to power, the opposition party has promised to bring back the previous pension plan.
Recognizing the influence of rebels in Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Nadda said that their impact is being reduced as the campaign moves into its last stretch, before the voting on November 12.
The BJP leader claimed that rather than giving things away for free, his organization seeks to empower individuals.
The people of the State understand what the BJP says because everything is done with proper research, according to Mr. Nadda. “In our manifesto, we have ascertained the financial ramifications,” he added.
Nadda lashed Congress on freebies
He claimed that Congress is making promises without taking the consequences into account, which is why it is not taken seriously.
We support self-determination. Despite being a one-time expenditure, it strengthens the State and society as a whole “explained Nadda. “We do not provide any freebies, we always empower people. And, there is a very thin line between empowerment and allurement and we conduct due diligence,” he said.
Nadda urge people to vote BJP
UCC is a significant issue, according to the BJP leader, and the ruling party must handle the nation very gently.
We have approached this issue State by State, put it in the H.P. manifesto, and are executing it at the State level, Mr. Nadda said. “In society, we all have to carry out our duties”, he added.
“I request people to vote for BJP because it’s time to build a safe society, the State, and their own interests,” he said to PTI.
The BJP leader asserted that his party will win since it was well-positioned in both Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
He claimed that there was no room for carelessness and that the performance could not be compromised.
Every struggle is very significant, but we are at ease, he said. “We take every election very seriously. We do not take extra pressure and do not compromise on our performance in any State”, he added.
In addition, they have acknowledged Jairam Ji’s contributions as a silent worker at the grassroots level, the BJP President said. “This implies that people have welcomed the growth and the support provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he further added.
According to him, the BJP is establishing new patterns across the nation, and it is about time Himachal Pradesh abandoned the custom of never re-electing a present administration.
It is time for Himachal Pradesh to reverse the pattern, as Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Goa have done by repeating existing governments, Mr. Nadda added. “Raj nahin, riwaaz badlega(Not the reign but the trend will change)”, he captioned.
JP Nadda criticized Rahul Gandhi
In addition, he criticized Rahul Gandhi, the former head of the Congress party, questioning whether he is dividing or uniting India because he has been seen supporting people who want “to divide the country and sympathising with terrorists.”
He said Mr. Gandhi should repeatedly apologize to the country.
“Despite the fact that there were anti-Supreme Court judge and anti-President of India slogans on Afzal Guru’s death sentence in JNU, Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally there where the phrase “Split India in Pieces” was used. Are you destroying or forming bonds? He ought to apologise to the country, “added Mr. Nadda.
The BJP president added that the Congress leaders had shown “anguish and compassion for terrorists” following the Batla House encounter.
“How do we make sense of this? You should make amends more than once. Even for Article 370, the Congress ought to make amends because Jawaharlal Nehru contributed to it, he remarked.
Himachal Pradesh native Mr. Nadda claimed he has never yearned for a post and has no political aspirations in his home State.
“I never established myself anywhere. I’ve never been ambitious and have always given my full attention to the tasks at hand. I can confidently state that I have never made a request. I don’t have any goals. He added that he had previously quit the government to work for the organization.
