Medical horror unlatched?
This happening shows up in our neighboring country Pakistan. Where Medical Negligence was highlighted due to this recent affair. An inexperienced staff of rural health Centre in Pakistan’s Sindh province, Left an unborn baby inside the mother’s womb during her delivery. Leaving the 32- yrs- old woman almost near to death.
The woman, who suffered this tragedy belongs to an off-lying village in the Tharparkar district, where she prior visited the Rural Health Centre but had no medical help received. No female staff or male/female gynecologists’ were available for the emergency. This is where an inexperienced staff induced immense lifelong trauma in her. Says Professor Raheel Sikander, Sikander is the one who leads and heads the gynaecology unit at Liaquat University of Medical Health Sciences (LUMHS) in jamshoro. He further explains, how the RHC staff had performed surgery where he cut off the baby’s head and left it inside her and later performed a botched surgery on Sunday leaving the woman in a die–die situation.
Withering Female Rushed To Emergency Unit.
When the woman, faced a dying-like situation. Unaware of the tragedy that happened to her Was rushed to a close hospital in Mithi,Where the faculty was unable to treat her.
Hurriedly, her family bought her to LUMHS. Where the aid was provided to her and the rest of the unborn was uncrated out of her womb. Rescuing her life.
Dr. Sikander describes how the baby’s head was all coiled inside her mother’s uterus, and they had no other option other than to open her abdomen and perform a severe surgery to bring her back to life. And take the baby’s head out.
Disunited Investigation Arrayed.
This horrific blunder at Sindh. Had provoked the director general of Sindh Health Services. Dr. Juman Bahoto had passed her orders for separate enquiries into this case. Especially, about what happened to the availability of female faculties/staff and Gynaecologist at the RHC in chachro.
The woman Even had her videos and photos captured while she laid on the stretcher in that circumstance and those were being shared on Whatsapp and different other social media platforms via the hospital staff. Which would continue to haunt her for the rest of her life. To track those sinners a separate Enquiry has been approved, By Dr. Jumman “she won’t forget these scars what she received but finding culprits would prevail her the justice”.
